Air curtains create quiet April 1st 2008 Providing a replacement for drilled
or slotted lengths of pipe for wide
area blow-off and drying
applications is Meech
International's energy saving Air
Curtain. Pipes can be inefficient,
wasting large volumes of
compressed air and creating noise.
Meech believes that by installing the
Air Curtain, compressed air savings
can be up to 70% and the noise
reduction ensures employers are
complying with the EU Noise
Directive.
The Air Curtains release a small
amount of compressed air at high
speed through a 0.0508mm slot
along its entire length. This sheet of
air entrains a large volume of
surrounding air and effectively
amplifies the compressed air flow up
to 25 times. The aluminium Air
Curtains are available in lengths
between 80 and 1800mm. Stainless
steel units are available for corrosive
or hazardous environments.
Applications include removing
water from containers, part cleaning
before painting, creating an "air
curtain"between processes and
cleaning/cooling conveyors. More articles from Meech International Ltd: |
