THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop BIU's existing Risk Management and Procurement Department. The role will encompass working to increase BIU's existing service position and expanding our Risk Management and Procurement strategies and products.
You will deliver Risk Management and Procurement solutions to some of the UK's largest energy users, and develop and implement risk indicator limits and hedging strategies. The role wil include management responsibility for the entire Risk Management function across BIU.

THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge of the UK energy market, particularly of wholesale market and Risk Management mechanisms. Outstanding analytical skills, and a strong focus, along with experience of a previous Energy Risk Management role is essential, preferably gained with a consultancy background.
Strong people and project management skills are required, as is the ability to lead and drive a department forward whilst developing and identifying new product opportunities within the market sector.
You will be an excellent communicator who is driven, resourceful, innovative and able to work to deadlines and targets. FSA accreditation would be an advantage.
